Nový Drahov - Rural Monument Reserve
Nový Drahov (German: Trogau) was founded during the medieval colonization process in the 13th century at the latest. The village is not very big and it is formed by scattered enclosed homesteads built in the fashion of "Frankish Farmsteads" mostly in the 18th and 19th century. The houses are largely two-storied half-timbered buildings adjoined by farm outbuildings. The half-timbered gables are richly decorated, some even with complex chessboard patterns between windows.
A mill with a half-timbered barn has been preserved in the small hamlet of Stodola near Nový Drahov. Tourist will be also impressed by the Butterfly House in Žirovice.
