Marianske Lazne is the youngest spa out of the famous triangle of West Bohemian spas.
The spa is situated in the south western part of the Slavkov Forest at an altitude of 587 - 826 metres above sea level. There are about one hundred mineral springs rising around the town. In the town itself there are around forty. Since they are very different in terms of their properties, their proximity is a balneologic rarity. The temperature of the springs oscillates between 7° C to 10°C so the mineral water can be classed as cold acidulous water. Drinking cures usually prescribe drinking around three quarters of a litre per day. Mineral springs are also used for inhalations and mineral baths.
