Mar. Lázně - Town water distribution system
Mariánské Lázně was equipped with two water distribution systems dating back to the 19th century. Utility water flowed in from the dam above the town, the first one with an earth dam in the Czech lands, realized in 1894 – 1896 and expanded in 1908. Drinking water was delivered to the town through several spring water pipes. The largest one delivered water since 1930 from the eastern foothill of Dyleň to the Carola water reservoir through 12.6 kilometre-long pipes. Water from the dam has been treated since 1965.
