Kyselka - Mattoni's Factory

The local acidulous mineral water was filled and distributed in stoneware jugs as early as in 1790.

The spa was established after 1829. In 1852 the main mineral spring was named Ottův pramen (Otto´s Spring) on the occasion of the visit of Greek King Otto I. In 1873 the domain was bought by Heinrich Mattoni, mineral water entrepreneur, who initiated an extensive spa reconstruction. In about 1900 a new modern filling room connected to the Buštěhrad railway by the track of Kyselka-Vojkovice was completed. On the site of the Mattoni´s factory new operation buildings of Karlovarské minerální vody, a.s. were built in the middle of the 1990’s.
