The newly built golf course is situated in close proximity to the towns of Sokolov, Dolní Rychnov and Březová by Sokolov. The nearby R6 motorway R6 connecting the towns of Cheb and Karlovy Vary is an access road from three border crossings with Germany in the West and from Prague in the East. The course is located 430 m above sea level and spread over an area of approximately 100 ha. The altitude difference between the highest and the lowest parts of the course is 42 m. The climatic environment is favourable for the long golf season.
The total length of the 18-hole course with par 72 is 6,288 m. The green area is 500 m2 to 640 m2, the total green area, including foregreens, is 13,793 m2. Each hole has 4 tees.
The golf course is a part of an approximate 200 ha sports and recreational area in the vicinity of the Michal water reservoir. Close to the golf course is a zoo-park and a forest-park is also planned. The project documentation for the golf course construction began to be processed in 2002, while the construction itself started in autumn 2003. The golf academy was opened in spring 2005, where along with the tees, a ball dispenser, two practice putting greens, a chipping green and a golf equipment hire shop are available.
In July 2005, new course facilities, including a Clubhouse with restaurant, bar, VIP lounge and summer terrace with a total capacity of 200 seats, were opened. Moreover, there is space for club social life, a reception desk and pro-shop, offices and ladies and gentlemen’s cloakrooms. Close to the clubhouse a car park for 100 passenger cars and 3 buses has been built. The course has been in operation since May 2006 (a PGA Czech series tournament has since been held there).
